Love Line 2010
Love and Food . . . they go
together! You are invited to become a part of an important
ministry here at Shawnee Park. The Love Line provides meals to
church families who have events in their lives where dinner is
the last thing they need to worry about. Births, illnesses,
deaths, moving day, etc. are examples.
We need SPCC members to take one
month between March 2010 and February 2011. You are then on
"stand-by" for that month for needs in the church. In some
cases, the entire Love Line may need to be activated. Please
contact Donna Conger at (913) 491-3881 to sign up, contact the
church office at (913) 268-6770 or submit your sign-up on line
by
clicking here and filling out our online form.

For more than 50 years,
Al-Anon
(which includes Alateen for younger members) has been
offering hope and help to families and friends of
alcoholics. It is estimated that each alcoholic affects
the lives of at least four other people... alcoholism is
truly a family disease. No matter what relationship you
have with an alcoholic, whether they are still drinking
or not, all who have been affected by someone else’s
drinking can find solutions that lead to serenity in the
Al-Anon/Alateen fellowship.
